About Me

ROSTER_IMAGE_2448

I was born and raised in Florence, Alabama, a small town in the northwest corner of the state. I have always worked hard, providing lawn mowing services and securing a paper route before I was 12 years old. Although I can now appreciate the benefits of growing up in a small town, I always dreamed of living in a big city.

I earned a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology in 1981 and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Less than a year after starting my first job in the field, I realized that it wasn't for me. Destined for a career in sales, I was offered a job selling new automobiles and I earned the Salesman of the Year award in my first full year. Recognizing my innate sales ability, a customer offered me a job at The Equitable, a life insurance company. I earned "Rookie of the Year" honors in my first year, as well as a coveted seat at the Million Dollar Round Table, which is comprised of the top 1% of agents worldwide, during each year of my employment.

After a few years, I opened my own agency. It was during this time that I met my wife, Bonnie. She had a beautiful daughter, Jordan, who was 10 years old. We married two years later and, a year after that, our son, Jackson, was born. Jordan is an OR nurse and she and Gabriel have blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren, Alexander and Elle. Jackson secured his Degree in Computer Science at UCF and made Dean's List three times in his time there.

Bonnie and I worked together for more than 16 years, specializing in selling life and health insurance to real estate professionals and managing those benefits. We retired to Florida, but I couldn't stay idle for long. I signed on to help my brother-in-law manage his pre-owned auto business. Even at this small lot, I was recognized by our national lenders as a sales leader.

Bonnie and I are members of Live Oaks Community Church in The Villages, where I manage and coordinate the Parking Warriors Team and she is a member of the Tech Team. We both serve on the local board of Vision Nicaragua, a non-profit organization that serves the needs of the poor in several small villages north of León. Bonnie is also a "big sister" to a young girl in Wildwood through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

I love sports, especially if I'm playing. I'm a die-hard Bama fan (Roll Tide), but also root for the University of Georgia, where my daughter graduated from, and the University of Central Florida, where my son graduated. I also grew to love the New England Patriots, as my wife is originally from Boston. NASCAR and Formula One is another sport that I'm passionate about, and I've competed in many kart races over the past decade or so. In my spare time, I love to softball, golf, and pickleball.

Integrity, service and commitment are not just words to me. I will work diligently to help you buy or sell a home. Call me and I'll go "Above and Beyond" to help you sell and/or buy your next home.
